FAQ FOR SPRING REGISTRATION

Escondido American Little League Spring Registration 2026 FAQs

Q: Is my player eligible to play for EALL?

A: Be careful, there are 2 different Little Leagues here in Escondido. We follow official Little League International guidelines regarding eligibility. A player must live or go to school in our league’s boundaries to be eligible to play with EALL.
Please enter your home or school address into the Little League Finder to see which league you are eligible for.
If both addresses are outside our boundaries, you must contact the other league to register with them.
You cannot play for EALL if you are within the boundaries of another league. Please check your eligibility before registering.

Q: Can players who are League Ages 4-7 play in any Little League?

A: Yes. Players born between September 1, 2018 and August 31, 2022 can play in any Little League.
Any siblings above this age may also play in that Little League, as long as both players do not skip a Spring season.

Q: When does registration open and close?

A: Registration opens November 7th and closes on January 7th at 11:59pm.
Early bird registration ($50  off!) runs from November 7th-December 7th.

Q: How do I register my player?

A: If you are new to our league, begin by making yourself an account, and then add your player’s profiles.
If you are returning, sign in and click the programs that are available for your player!

Q: How much does registration cost?

A: Please click here for our registration fees for this Spring. Payment plans are available on the registration check out page.

Q: Do you accept late registrations?

A: Once registration fills up, a wait list will open. We cannot guarantee that there will be space for anyone that registers on a wait list.
Please reach out to Christal at [email protected] about late registrations, as they are on a case by case basis, depending on the division and openings.

Q: How does registration work? (Important: New in Spring 2026)

A1: For Tball (4-6) and Rookies (5-7) players, registration will be exactly the same as last year. If your player meets requirements for both divisions, please reach out to Christal at [email protected] to ensure you are registering for the correct division.
Once registered, there may not be space for movement between Tball and Rookies!
League age 7 year olds that register for Rookies cannot move up to Minor B. If they have played Rookies, please consider registering them for Minor B!

A2: For competitive divisions (Minor B and above), families will register their players by birthday/league age, and not by division.
All players will be drafted into the age appropriate division, as determined by tryouts.
(Please see the Spring Tryouts FAQs for more information!)

Q: Can I request a manager or a teammate?

A: Manager and teammate requests can only be made for Tball and Rookies teams.
All other divisions will be formed via a draft by the managers.

Q: Can we switch teams if the practice schedule doesn’t work or if we would rather be  on a different team?

A: For Tball and Rookies, decisions about moving teams are made on a case by case basis, and are dependent on if there are openings.
For Minor B and above, no players can be moved to another team, for any reason, after the draft.

Q: Can I receive a refund if my child decides that he doesn’t want to play, after the  season starts?

A: All refunds that are requested, after Opening Day, will need to be approved by the EALL Board.

Q: What is the Snack Bar Buyout that I see on my registration?

A: We need parent/family support to ensure that the EALL Snack Bar can be up and running on all game days.
We ask that parents volunteer their time to work one (2) shifts in the snack bar. This can be scheduled at a time that works well for you.
To help make sure this happens, we collect a $60 (Fall) or $100 (Spring) deposit up front, and then this amount will be refunded to you in cash when you work your shift. The volunteer must be at least 13 years old.

Some families prefer to donate this amount instead of working the shift.
This is equally helpful for keeping our Snack Bar running because these donations are used to pay our teenage employees.
Any questions about working your snack bar shift can be directed to your Team Parent or to our Director of Concessions at [email protected]

Q: When will practices and games be?

A: Please visit our Divisions Offered page to see an explanation of practices and predicted game days/times.
