2024 SPRING SEASON
BASEBALL AGE DIVISIONS
T-Ball: League ages 4-6. Introductory/instructional. No score or standings kept. A game will consist of one (1) hour. Teams formed by school and coach/friend/sibling requests. One game and one practice per week. Games are on Saturday morning either at 9 or 11 am. Practice is determined by the Manager’s schedule.
Rookies: League ages 5-8 (League age of five (5) if played one season of T-Ball). Coach pitch. Non-competitive/instructional. No score or standings kept. A game will consist of one (1) hour and fifteen minutes or five (5) innings, whichever comes first. Teams formed by school and coach/friend/sibling requests. One game and one practice per week. Games are on Saturday morning either at 9 or 11 am. Practice is determined by Manager’s schedule.
Minor B: League ages 7-10 (League age 10 years old are not permitted to pitch). Player pitch with coach assistance. Competitive: No new inning shall start after one and a half (1 ½) hours of play. Score and standings kept; all games will have umpires. Teams formed by a draft. All players must tryout. Two games per week and one practice. One game on Tuesday or Thursday at 6 pm and one game on Saturday at 1:30 or 4:30 pm. Practices are determined by the Manager’s schedule.
Minor A: League Age 8-11. 12-year-old players are permitted to play in Minor A if an approved waiver is obtained. (12-year-old players are not permitted to pitch). Competitive: 6 innings and no new inning shall start after two (2) hours of play. Exception: If needed to complete regulation game or break a tie game. Score and standings kept; all games will have umpires. Teams formed by a draft. All players must tryout 2 times. Players are eligible for age 8/9/10 and 9/10/11 All-Star teams, based on their league age. 60% of the league scheduled games are a requirement for All-Star eligibility. Two practices and two games per week. One game on Tuesday or Thursday at 6:30 pm and one game on Saturday at 1:30 or 4:30 pm. There will be interleague games with Escondido National unless we have 6 teams in the division. Practices determined by Manager’s schedule.
Majors: League Age 10-12. Competitive: 6 innings. Score and standings kept; all games will have umpires. Teams formed by a draft. All players must tryout 2 times. Players are eligible for age 9/10/11 and 11/12 All-Star teams, based on their league age. 60% of the league scheduled games are a requirement for All-Star eligibility. Two practices and two games per week. One game on Tuesday or Thursday at 6:30 pm and one game on Saturday at 1:30 or 4:30 pm. There will be interleague games with travel. Practices determined by Manager’s schedule.
Intermediate (50/70): League Age 13. Competitive: 7 innings, umpires, scores kept, standings recorded. Field size increases to 50' pitching distance and 70' base paths. Leading, stealing and pickoffs allowed. This division is a good transition between a little league sized field (46' pitch, 60' base) and a full-size field (60' pitch, 90' base). 11 and 12-year-olds may play but are encouraged to stay in the Majors division. All players must tryout 2 times. Players are eligible for 50/70 All-Stars. 60% of the league scheduled games are a requirement for All-Star eligibility. Two practices and two games per week. One game on Wednesday at 6:30 pm and one game on Saturday afternoon or evening (7 pm). Games will be played against other District 31 teams. There will be travel involved in this division. Practices determined by Manager’s schedule.
Juniors: League Age 13-14. Competitive: 7 innings, umpires, scores kept, standings recorded. Full size field - 60' pitching distance, 90' base paths. Teams formed by a draft if there are enough players for more than one team. All players must tryout 2 times. Players are eligible for Junior All-Stars. 60% of the league scheduled games are a requirement for All-Star eligibility. Two practices and two games per week. One game on Wednesday at 6:30 pm and one game on Saturday at 9 or 10 am. Games will be played against other District 31 teams. There will be travel involved in this division. Practices determined by Manager’s schedule.
