ESCONDIDO AMERICAN LITTLE LEAGUE

Thank you for being a part of our baseball family!

Volunteer Inquiry

Thinking about volunteering with Escondido American Little League?

We are always seeking parents/family members interested in giving back to our baseball community! Please consider volunteering ... It's for the kids!

Whether it is filling an EALL board position, coaching, being a team parent, helping as a snack bar supervisor, or running the grill for a shift or two. We truly appreciate you and can only operate with your help!
Thank you!

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact: [email protected]

If you volunteer with a little league organization, a LiveScan must be completed and on file for you to interact with the players and be on the field.
  • BBQ grillers & grill assistans are exempt and do not need a LiveScan.
  • LiveScan must be completed to any new EALL volunteers.
  • Once it is completed, it is good for life! ... As long as you stay with EALL each spring season!
  • If you skip a spring season with EALL,  you must complete the LiveScan again.
  • This applies to all volunteers.
  • Great news - EALL covers the cost!
  • Bring the completed form (below) and mention EALL when you get to the Luna LiveScan.
Luna LiveScan has two locations in Oceanside.  See the form below to find a location that works for you.

If you have any questions regarding LiveScan, please contact: [email protected]

Whether you've volunteered with EALL in the past, or this is your first time, everyone volunteering will need to complete a background check through JDP. It is an online site. No paper forms.

Anyone interacting with players on the field will need to complete this process.

In 2018, the “Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and SafeSport Authorization Act of 2017” became Federal law. The mission of the U.S. Center for Safesport is to make the athlete well-being the centerpiece of our nation’s sports culture. All athletes deserve to participate in sports free from bullying, hazing, sexual misconduct, or any form of emotional or physical abuse. Education and awareness are the most critical components to creating safe and respectful sporting environments, free of abuse and harassment.

VOLUNTEER PARENT ON THE FIELD DUTIES:
The adult on the field is required whenever Junior umpires, kid umpires, are used in place of an adult umpire. This person must not be a manager or coach of either team.  This person is responsible for monitoring the interactions between the adult managers and the kids. Ensuring that there is no misconduct of the adults towards the kids about the calls that they make during the duration of the game.
The adult on the field must be present at the plate meeting between both managers and the umpires. And must remain on the field for the entire game with access to observe all actions on the field. The adult does not make any calls during the game, outs, foul balls, or any other calls that the umpires make during the game.
